The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) published the annual statistics of the ICC International Court of Arbitration for 2025 in April 2026. The Court's Secretariat registered 907 new proceedings — the highest number in the institution's history and a year-on-year increase of 4.3%.
The value of disputes amounted to USD 297 billion, confirming the ICC's position as the world's largest arbitral institution by both volume and value. The median dispute value stood at USD 3.1 million.
Geographic distribution
Western Europe still dominates (32% of parties), but Latin America (18%) and Asia (16%) are increasing their share. In terms of seat, Paris led with 28% of cases, followed by London (15%) and Geneva (11%).
Sectoral representation
Construction and engineering services (24%), energy and infrastructure (19%), financial services (13%), manufacturing and goods trading (12%), and the technology sector (9%).
